Abstract:To investigate the basic information of ZmFBA family in maize, ZmFBA members were identified in the whole genome of maize inbred B73 by alignment with eight Arabidopsis thaliana AtFBA genes, and then systematically analyzed them by bioinformatics and expression profile. The results showed that seven ZmFBA family members were identified, which contain TIM superfamily and PLN02425 conserved domain. Based on evolutionary relationships and conserved domains, ZmFBAs can be divided into two subfamilies corresponding to chloroplasts aldolase and cytoplasms aldolase predicted by subcellular localization. The promoter regions of ZmFBAs harbored multiple cis-elements related to light response, plant hormone response, environmental stresses, and other situations. Seven ZmFBA family members distributed on five chromosomes, respectively, two segment duplicated gene pairs of ZmFBA family in maize. The ZmFBA family genes exhibited multiple expression patterns in different tissues, showing strong tissues-specific expression. Among them ZmFBA4, ZmFBA6, ZmFBA7 expressed in all tissues, and ZmFBA3 was not expressed under the current experimental conditions. ZmFBAs responded to various biological and abiotic stresses, exhibited multiple expression patterns.
